7 series aluminum features:

Extrusion speed is slower than 6 series alloy, good welding performance. The 7005 and 7075 are the higher grades in the 7 series, which can be strengthened by heat treatment.

The 7005 extruded materials are used to manufacture welded structures with high strength and fracture toughness, such as trusses, rods and containers for transport vehicles. Large heat exchangers and components that cannot be solid melted after welding; It can also be used to make sports equipment such as tennis rackets and softball bats

The 7049 is used for forging components with the same static strength as the 7079-t6 alloy that require high stress corrosion cracking resistance, such as aircraft and missile components - landing gear cylinders and extrusion parts. The fatigue performance of the parts is approximately equal to that of the 7075-t6 alloy, while the toughness is slightly higher
